Happy Holy Sabbath- Saturday, June 11th 2022
Take your stand in God, wherever you are. Be the blessing everyone else is scared to be. Standing up for Christ means not wanting to offend others- but like it or not- others will be offended. They will be enraged, and they will hate you.
At the same time- others will be richly blessed by YOUR DECISION to represent Christ. At times, we don’t have to speak about Christ, but we can do things to represent Christ without saying a word.
Working in the Information Technology field allows me access into every department, every floor, and every building. My duty is to support end users- fellow peers- who run into difficulty with the network, their computer, or any other device that connects to the network. Doing so, entails pushing around a cart with four wheels. The cart is stocked with important gear such as: new computers, laptops, new monitors, cables, essentially anything IT related to help get the job done.
IF you’ve worked in the corporate environment then you have surely seen the guys in the IT room pass by you while pushing one of these carts. It’s inevitable.
It’s called a customer facing opportunity. Which is the perfect opportunity to represent Christ. All one has to do is place THEIR LIVING BIBLE on the top shelf- EXACTLY WHERE IT BELONGS. And as one pushes the cart down the hallway and into and across every department within the company- one thing will surely happen-
As you come into contact with others- there will be a dividing line that instantly occurs. Some will smirk, some colleagues will immediately dislike you, and some will even hate you..but ONE THING IS CERTAIN- they will respect you. Even if they hate you.
More importantly- many of your fellow peers and colleagues will be blessed. The company as a whole will be a better place. Many will say ‘thank you, I needed that.‘ Without you even speaking a word. The property itself will be blessed. Inside and Outside. Every floor, every room, every relationship you come into contact with- You do so by the anointing of Almighty God upon you- to strengthen, to encourage, to build, to be a valuable asset to the company and to the individuals you spend more time with each week than your own family.
Let us be that resource of dependability, truth, honest help and self sacrifice- not always asking- what is the company going to do for me? How about – what are we going to do for it?
To my dear sisters and brothers in Christ- I urge you to carry YOUR LIVING WORD in YOUR HAND to the work place. To pull it out and read it while in the cafeteria. Or while sitting outside. You are not embarrassed to be on your phone at lunch, therefore, don’t be embarrassed to be IN YOUR WORD at lunch either.
Transformation starts- with every single one of us.
Lastly- every day as I went to lunch, I would go to the cafeteria within the hospital. I’d stand in line to pick the items I wanted and head over to the check out lines. As I stood in line waiting – I’d look over toward the seating area to see where I was going to sit. This was during the time covid was hitting really hard and they had set up the tables so that there was only one chair per table. As seating became harder to find, that meant I had to spend more time looking – and in so doing- I noticed nearly every single person who was sitting alone was on their cell phone. I thought to myself- why? Most people simply do what they see others do. We do so without even giving much thought to it. WE DON’T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT. AND WE WANT TO DO WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING. So as we look around and see everyone else on their cellphone, we automatically pull ours out and do the same.
problem is- the cell phone isn’t blessing anyone. It’s dividing us. It’s transforming us slowly but surely from human to robot.
You know what I never saw a single person do? Have their bible out reading it. The entire three to four months I was there. If there was ever a place to have your bible out reading it, it should be a hospital. Think about it. To inspire hope, healing, and faith- that everything will be okay.
Make a choice- no matter where you work at- To represent Christ, and He shall stand behind you and empower you to do His Will beyond what you ever thought was possible. God bless you immensely this day- and fill you with COURAGE, STRENGTH, DETERMINATION, AND EXCELLENCE in Jesus name, Amen.
Go out and be A FIRE that burns BY THE POWER OF GOD’S HOLY GHOST, set hearts and lives on fire for Almighty God! Bless others as they have blessed you.
