When you are feeling weak, can remembering Isaiah 40:29 reverse the way you may be feeling at that moment?

I have been receiving many questions recently and will begin posting some of these questions and answers here with you- our WordPress family, in hopes of providing a real sense and insight to what others are asking at the present moment.

I love this question!

Here is the scripture you mention. I post for others to read and be blessed by the very question you asked.

29 He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. 30 Even the youths shall be exhausted, and the young men will all give up.

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Now to answer your question. I don’t think you were trying to be funny at all when asking this question. You sound and feel sincere. So thank you.

Can remembering this scripture help you at times of weakness? Yes it can.

But I must point out something. It is not by REMEMBERING SCRIPTURES, that does anything for us.

I grew up this way, in a religious environment, going to a religious church, and so many of us knew the bible well. IF you talked to any congregation member -they would know or could remember a whole bunch of difference scriptures.

But life taught me, and God, that remembering scriptures doesn’t amount to much. I myself had a whole bunch of scriptures memorized, and what did this lead me to believe?

That I knew God. That I had a relationship with God. Even declaring that I knew God more than others did because of the amount of scriptures I knew or had memorized.

This happens when we spend that one on one time with God and His Holy Spirit, and as we read God’s Word He shows us something , which is always relevant to what we are going through or facing, and it impresses onto us. The scripture becomes ingrained onto the walls of our heart. So that when adversity strikes, it’s not really ‘remembering’ a scripture as you put it.. and I don’t mean anything negative toward you..

when adversity strikes- we GO AND WE TURN to HIS WORD, AND WE KNOW THAT IT IS TRUE, and we KNOW HE HAS SPOKEN IT TO US, or to you!

It is that daily experience with God and His Word, that then gives every scripture He has impressed into our hearts the POWER OF STRENGTH, FORTITUDE, RESTORATION, HEALING, AUTHORITY, RESCUING POWER…….

Back in the old days, I could of turned to any number of scriptures I knew… and very little would of ever happened. I still would of remained in fear, and doubt. I see so many of those same people who I use to go to church, clinging onto to those same scriptures- who know so many scriptures by heart but LIVE THEIR LIVES BY FEAR, because they are missing the most important thing- A DAILY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

So to answer your question- it isn’t the remembering of Isaiah 40:29 that will give you strength, it is the LIVING OF ISAIAH 40:29, remembering where you where the day God showed it to you, or the time you first read it, the impact it made. but only because God was with you that day and that moment.

I hope this helps answer your question.

I will leave you with one of my own, that God has impressed onto my heart-

Psalms 51:

7 O my people, listen! For I am your God. Listen! Here are my charges against you: 8 I have no complaint about the sacrifices you bring to my altar, for you bring them regularly.

9 But it isn’t sacrificial bullocks and goats that I really want from you. 10-11 For all the animals of field and forest are mine! The cattle on a thousand hills! And all the birds upon the mountains!

12 If I were hungry, I would not mention it to you—for all the world is mine and everything in it. 13 No, I don’t need your sacrifices of flesh and blood.
14-15 What I want from you is your true thanks; I want your promises fulfilled. I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory.

Amen! As you can see by reading this… God’s hand is in this response..

verse 14-15 answers your question!! And all I was doing was sharing sincerely from my heart..

This is why we thank God! and praise His name!

“I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory.”

God give you strength, wisdom, discernment, and all others things you need to GROW EACH DAY MORE IN HIM, IN JESUS NAME, I PRAY, AMEN! HalleluYAH!

My aim is to help others make sense of their own lives, by sharing the failures and misfortunes of mine. Misfortune and failure lead a man to the unmistakable clarity of his deception- That there is no need, nor room for God, because he himself is self sufficient, well educated, rich and capable. The more the man stays his ground, holding fast to his position- the more suffering he shall bring into his life. Suffering is the ground upon which elimination of the false occurs and perception of the Truth begins. After enough time is spent courting Misery, Pain, Humiliation, Slavery, Emptiness, one seeks to stop the bleeding. Some men prefer to bleed their way to death rather than admit their ignorance; that their way will never work. While other men, surrender, which is the beginning of knowledge. By surrendering the man does not fall, he rises and steps foot upon the path of Eternal Wisdom and Truth. It is the path that leads to Eternal Life- the pursuit of knowledge, is the pursuit of Almighty God- Man's Creator. *If you have questions, concerns, need direction, prayer, you may email me.* I do not charge for what Almighty God has given me freely.
