I wasn’t born worshiping God, I had to learn how to worship God. I had to get past all the barriers that stood in the way:
How will others perceive me?
Do I look ridiculous with my hands up in the air?
I don’t want others to think I want attention.
I had to stop worrying about others AND START WORRYING ABOUT GOD.
2 Samuel 6:21

I had to get past what I grew up thinking Worship is. It was the only form of ‘worship’ that I had been exposed to for 20 years or so. It wasn’t until I began visiting church after church seeking Truth, that I began little by little, one step at a time, one church visit at at time, and one song at a time, that I began understanding what Worship really is.
More hurdles I had to get over:
I had to learn how to love God.
I had to learn how to love Truth.
I had to learn the difference between believing that God exists and believing in God.
I had to begin developing a daily relationship with God. *all caps
I had to begin spending more time with God, than I did with sin. *all caps
When my heart was captivated by sin, it was impossible to worship God. For in my heart- I was loving sin, not God. I was worshiping ‘the wrong things’ and yearning to do them- which makes it impossible for a man to Worship God.
He must learn- what loving God means. He must learn- that surrendering to God: is NOT weakness. It is not yielding to HIS COMMANDS ‘because he is supposed to.’ That type of obedience always ends in catastrophe.
He must learn- TO LOVE THE TRUTH, TO LOVE DOING THE RIGHT THING, and learn to hate the things that God hates without hating others who practice such things.
He MUST ensure every single day- to the upmost of his ability- THE WAY BETWEEN HIM AND GOD ARE CLEAR. True JOY- is an eternal river of blessedness that begins at the source of life- God’s Heart.
Psalms 37:4

Here are a few songs that have always lifted my heart and soul toward God. Their hearts sing louder than their words.. a joyous melody to God, Thank you Lord, For all that you do.
