“To be the best in the World, one must train to be the best in the World. And even that is not enough, one must believe they can be.”
We must work hard to train our bodies.
We must work even harder to train our spirits.
In order that our God given spirits may know how to lead our bodies, by following the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Pick any sport you’d like, the best players and those in the halls of fame- to them it wasn’t a game, it was their life.
So it is with our faith, everything is on the line, except with Games they end. Eternal Life doesn’t.
The best in the World train until the wheels fall off, and then some. Until it becomes first nature to make a hole in one with their eyes closed, or throw a 50 yard touchdown pass with their left hand while falling backwards.
That’s exactly what we must do – as followers of Christ. Train and endure the pain, until the wheels fall off and then some. Read and Practice His Living Word until the front and back covers fly off from overuse.
We must enroll in God’s University of Eternal Truth. Where students do not enroll for a semester, students enroll for a lifetime. Of all their books, their most important- is His Living Word. It is their campus map, their GPS when they get lost, and their eternal fountain for any time they get thirsty.
I am a student for life!
I lead by following Christ!
I do not lead perfectly, I fail miserably all the time, in fact every day I fail… but Thanks To Almighty God- I don’t have to be perfect, PERFECTION already died for me and you on the cross at Calvary.
Glory Be to He, that sets us free!
Amen, and HAL LE LU YAH!!!!
The more we train, the more our spirits shall grow in focus, clarity, sharpness, and discernment, so that we may be able to continue distinguishing between truth and false, friend from foe, from those who love God and those who walk around professing they do, and most importantly so that we may be able to discern God’s Divine Direction from everyone else’s. From His Holy Spirit, and all others.
Let us close with His Living Word-
Galatians 5:16
16 I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit’s instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won’t always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to. 17 For we naturally love to do evil things that are just the opposite from the things that the Holy Spirit tells us to do; and the good things we want to do when the Spirit has his way with us are just the opposite of our natural desires. These two forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us, and our wishes are never free from their pressures.
19 But when you follow your own wrong inclinations, your lives will produce these evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, 20 idolatry, spiritism (that is, encouraging the activity of demons), hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that everyone else is wrong except those in your own little group—and there will be wrong doctrine, 21 envy, murder, drunkenness, wild parties, and all that sort of thing. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control; and here there is no conflict with Jewish laws.
24 Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there.
25 If we are living now by the Holy Spirit’s power, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
