“As the Father walked, Son did the son. Right along his Father’s side. The child was three and happy to be, in the loving arms of his father. Until the boy happened to look away, on that beautiful day. It was then, the child began to cry and plea for what he did see- ICE CREAM. “
10 How grateful I am and how I praise the Lord that you are helping me again. I know you have always been anxious to send what you could, but for a while you didn’t have the chance. 11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want.
Verse 11 is to have internal peace. I remember striving to be free of all things, for me it was so that I would not be hurt anymore. I viewed this as a cowardly choice for myself, however, efficient. If you don’t love anyone or anything, then what can hurt you? Yet we all grow and learn, and to live a life without loving God is to be dead already. With time I discovered internal peace is God, He pours it in as we pour ourselves out. I also learned the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is earthly, Joy is Heavenly. Happiness belongs to man, therefore temporary. Joy belongs to God, therefore eternal. Happiness is riding a roller coaster- as quick as you go up, quicker you come down. Ten minutes later you’re on to the next thing. Happiness can be purchased everywhere for a price. Joy cannot be purchased, it resides within the Fathers Heart. It flows freely into those who love him and look for him. Although joy is eternal, it is not mine. I myself have found it absolutely necessary to return to Almighty God every single day- not because I have to, because I want to. A man can be free of wanting and desiring things- which is TOTAL FREEDOM, PEACE, AND LIBERTY. For me, this only takes place while in prayer in the HOLY PRESENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD. Then and only then – do I have everything- completely whole and lack nothing. Glory be to He, that sets us free!
