“Apostles are shaped and formed by the intensity of THE SUFFERING they endure. Without suffering there is no Apostleship. The more a man suffers for Christ, the more of Christ that man shall have.”
The more I have suffered, the more I have learned to lean upon God- every day, throughout the day. Because, I could not do it on my own. I needed help. Like a man who has suffered an injury to his ankle and in order to walk, he must now use a crutch.
He suffers immediate loss , experiences physical pain, embarrassment, unexpected medical expenses, frustration, inability to work…
“A complete untimely disaster! Right before Christmas!! I cannot believe this bullshit happened to me!” The man exclaims.
A few months later- that same man can be heard at WORK testifying about THE GREATNESS OF ALMIGHTY GOD.
He goes on to tell all those that will listen, what looked like a disaster that happened at the worst possible time, turned out to be a – DIVINE REVERSAL AT THE BEST TIME POSSIBLE.
“Amen! HalleluYAH!” The man exclaims.
This disaster was the best thing that ever happened to me. It forced me to slow down and lean on Almighty God every day. It forced me to talk to God, instead of drive right by Him every day. Prior to the accident, I was working 50- 55hours a week, working like a dog, and living under the circumstances.
Brother, today I am still limping but my CUP has been filled with overflowing JOY in the midst of my suffering. I do not feel I am living under the circumstances anymore, I am living above them! Crutch, limp, and all!
The crutch that was placed in my life, helped my FAITH skyrocket.
I am so thankful Lord Jesus Christ for all that you have done and continue to do. Thank you for all the crutches, storms, and disasters that propel us closer to you. In our weaknesses, we discover your invincible strength.
